About Michael Frankel


Michael Frankel is a dealmaker and operating executive with extensive experience acquiring and scaling technology and information services businesses.  He is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Trajectory Capital and has held leadership roles at Deloitte, LexisNexis, Circana (previously IRI), GE and VeriSign.  Michael has also served as CFO of private technology companies and a publicly traded SPAC.  Michael began his career as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch and a corporate attorney at Skadden, Arps.

Michael has extensive experience sourcing, leading, and negotiating 110+ strategic transactions, as well as integration planning, management, product development, strategic planning, and portfolio management.  His deals have deployed/raised over $30B including 70+ M&A transactions and 40+ equity/debt/IPO/VC transactions.  Michael is an operating executive with a track record of driving growth and expansion through corporate strategy, M&A, product innovation, market expansion, and private equity/venture investing. He has supported those growth strategies building critical operating capabilities including finance/reporting, HR, strategy, legal, project/process management, partnerships/alliances, and new products. 

Michael has a passion for driving growth through innovation and engaged leadership.  He has a track record of building and scaling world-class teams and driving accelerated growth through disruptive innovation and strategic transactions.

Michael has served on public and private boards of technology and information services companies. He has written three books and many articles on various aspects of growth and strategic transactions and is a frequent speaker on growth and disruptive innovation. Michael holds a BA, MA, MBA, and JD from the University of Chicago.  He lives in the NY area with his wife, daughter and very large dog.
